Date of Passing: Aug 19, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADAM JOHN BEITZ With great sadness, the daughters of Adam (Audie) John Beitz announce his passing on August 19, 2012 at 88 years of age. Audie was the beloved and loyal husband of 65 years to Helen and caring and supportive Daddy to their daughters Cathy and Cindy. Along with his four brothers and three sisters, Audie was raised by parents, Gottfried and Eva Beitz with all the good things from a well read German Bible. Mom always said we should be meek like Daddy. He looked for ways to be kind and helpful to others. Someone happily remembered him most everywhere he went. A self-employed sewer and water contractor with the company's namesake, his father-in-law Frank Loch, as well as brother-in-law Frank Loch Jr., city inspectors knew they could count on a good, honest job. Daddy enjoyed hard work in all areas of construction and he liked working with his daughter Cindy on house plans and renovations. He had great fun playing softball with his late brother Alex for the Foresters. Many trophies remind us of Daddy's happy times ten pin bowling including a special Friday night league with daughter Cathy and his niece Darlene Beitz. Keeping in touch by phone with sisters Mary Yunyk and Molly Schultiess meant so much. And truly appreciated were niece Marilyn Hill, her husband Jamie and their son Nicholas. He so looked forward to car and boat shows with just the guys . Daddy and Mom loved their Fargo trips and music and dancing. He was a favourite jitterbug partner. Love of music, especially Dixieland, brought him a most special friendship with the late Garry Robertson. He also enjoyed the music shared by Wayne Bruce and evenings at McNally's with Don Milne and Brian Paul. Surgical errors disabled his life, but he said my feet still got rhythm . Daddy loved dogs and family dogs were special companions. He was thankful for all his good neighbors and friends, Veronica Kolody especially dear to him. Truly valued were the times he was able to spend with someone his age whom he really appreciated, Joe Woytko. And with Daddy we have heartfelt thanks to Dr. D.M. Miller and his nurse Linda and the caring staff of St. B. palliative. You all helped Daddy smile for as long as his heart could beat. Ultimately he put his trust in God who first gave him life. No service is planned. Flowers gratefully declined. Daddy's life was full of love. He would want yours to be too. A private family interment was held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. I remember the handsome Audie in his sailor's uniform during the second world war. We kids in the neighbourhood thought he was a real hero, and he was. He came from a wonderful family which I remember fondly when they lived on Colled you for the terrific memories of our childhood. - Posted by: joan gerus nee heffel (friend of Audie's sister Joan) on: Aug 25, 2012

Friday night bowling with Uncle Audie and Cathy was indeed a special time for me. IOF Forrester's baseball and picnics, Betula Lake (I might have spelled that wrong), so many memories. I was and still am very proud that my Uncle Audie and his brand new car (which he let us decorate with a Swan on top) took me to the church for my wedding. I was truly blessed to have such a wonderful Uncle. Love and big hugs to Auntie Helen, Cathy and Cindy. - Posted by: Darlene Beitz (Niece) on: Aug 25, 2012
