Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Eileen's daughter and I were close growing up. I remember being a fairly regular fixture in their loving home. Mostly, I remember Eileen's chocolate chip cookies. There seemed to almost always be a fresh batch cooling on the rack when I came through the door! My sympathy to Bill and the family. Eileen made me a better person for having known her. - Posted by: Jodi Penner (Friend of Cheryl) on: Sep 12, 2012

  • My thoughts and prayers go out to all my family in this time of sadness. My aunt was a wonderful person who blessed with kindness anyone that knew her. I will miss you very much you have brought joy to my life always and I know heaven has even improved by your presence there. - Posted by: Marty Batson (nephew) on: Sep 07, 2012

  • Eileen saved me from the lions and tigers under my bed when i was about 7 or 8. She was walking the hallway to the house washroom to get ready for early morning work as a restaurant waitress...and was obviously safe. It was very reassuring. I still fondly remember the football Eileen and Bill brought me back from their honeymoon. We made much money from picking dew worms in their ThunderBay yard one summer. I continue to look to Bill as my most senior male relative...preparing me for the future. - Posted by: Mike Bennett (foster brother) on: Sep 07, 2012

I am sure glad I got to see you in July and go for coffee, seeing you enjoy that was the best for me. I will miss you terrible, R.I.P. Love you more than words can say. - Posted by: Doreen Batson (sister) on: Sep 06, 2012

  • I suffered a great lose Sept. 4th my loving sister Eileen. She used to visit every summer for a couple of weeks, we had many good times & looked for-ward to the visits. When I had lung surgery 10 yrs. ago her & Bill came down & stayed with me & helped me through it. She was a very loving caring sister which I am going to miss a great deal. So glad I got to see you for a few days a couple of weeks ago. Love you very much . - Posted by: Gladys Collings (sister) on: Sep 06, 2012
