HILDEGARD WARNER Hildegard Warner passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospice on Monday September 10, 2012 at the age of 87. Hilde was born in Bruck ander Mur, Austria on November 3, 1924 and lived much of her life in Winnipeg. Hilde is survived by her special friend and companion Earl Yetman and his children Norm (Lynne), Keith (Tannis), Carolyn (Mark) Rozmus, daughter-in-law Mona (Gary), Earl's grandchildren, sister-in-law Theresa Goedel and the respective family of her late husband Fred Warner. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Edelgard, brother-in-law John Narrenhoffer and husbands Edward Goedel and Fred Warner. Hilde was such a very special lady who lived a full and beautiful life. She loved to travel and was fortunate to travel to many parts of the world. Hilde loved to play golf and for many years was an active member of St. Charles Country Club. Hilde enjoyed spending time at the lake; in her early years Hilde went on many camping trips to Nutimik Lake, and later loved to spend time in the Whiteshell with Earl and his family. She also enjoyed her afternoon shopping trips to Polo Park. Hilde ensured everyone kept moving ; she and Earl would go for daily walks and together they enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife that would visit at their home. At 85 she did not hesitate to climb the rocks in the Whiteshell to go blueberry picking with Mona and Carolyn, she even tried her hand at fishing with Earl and the boys! She was not afraid to try anything new. Hilde brought much joy and happiness to our lives and she will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at Atlantic Garden City United Church - 725 Atlantic Avenue on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.. The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospice for their care and compassion. The love, patience, and respect shown by the staff will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Hilde's memory to the Atlantic Garden City Memorial Fund, 725 Atlantic Avenue, Winnipeg, MB or CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. • On my second day coming to Canada I started working at the General Hospital. Not able to speak the language Hildegard and her sister took me under their wings and helped me to get to know my duties for that I will forever be grateful. Later my husband and I got to know Hildegard and her sisters' spouses also and we all became friends.- Rest in peace Hildegard, until we meet again. - Posted by: Renate Nolius (friend) on: Sep 12, 2012
