Born: May 01, 1937
Date of Passing: Sep 11, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRACIA ST-HILAIRE (née ROBIDOUX) May 1, 1937 - September 11, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gracia, our very dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Actionmarguerite - St-Vital (Foyer Valade). She leaves to mourn her passing Fernand, her husband of 52 years, her children: Diane (René Carrière), Norman (Jeannette Bourrier), Marcelle (Marc Saucier), Paulette (Ron Brown), Carolle (Derek Chubey), Michel (Marc Roch), and her grandchildren: Kevin, Daniel, Shanelle, Sasha, Matthew, Joshua, Cole, Sara, and Nicollette and André. She also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters: Louise (Laurent Lebleu), Laurent (Huguette Catellier), Roger (Denise Ritchot), Hélène (Aurèle Lemoine), Jacqueline (Christian Dotremont), Marcel (Gisèle Carriere) and Pierre; her in-laws: Céline and Gaston Brémault, Roméo and Simonne St-Hilaire, Antoine and Jeannette St-Hilaire, Raynald and Estelle St-Hilaire, and Simone St-Hilaire and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her many friends. Gracia was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Augustine (née Dumont) and her grandparents, Hilaire and Victorine (née De l'Etoile) Robidoux. Gracia dedicated her life to Fernand and her family and will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. She truly was the Pillar of the family. Gracia was a tireless caregiver, a 'maitresse de maison par excellence'' whose kitchen emanated of home cooked meals, whose garden brimmed with flowers, fruits and vegetables, whose thriftiness stretched every dollar, whose faith convinced her that it was all worthwhile. Her love of music, of playing the piano, and the accordion and of singing enlivened many an evening at family gatherings and social functions. The Robidoux family has lost its musical director. Her wish to spend her final days with her husband, Fernand, was realized. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at Riverview and Actionmarguerite for their compassionate and professional care. Your time has come to rest, Mom. Repose en paix. On t'aime. The family invites you to join them for prayers, eulogy and a video presentation celebrating Gracia's life at St. Eugène Church, 1007 St. Mary's Road at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012. At 11:00 a.m., Funeral Mass will be officiated by Father Roland Lanoie. A private interment will follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
