LAURENT LEBLEU February 14, 1928 - September 25, 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laurent at St. Boniface Hospital after a lengthy illness. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 38 years Louise (née Robidoux), his children Norm (Thérèse), Monique (Marcel) Godard, Suzie (Rolly) Savoie, Marc (Ruth), eight grandchildren: Lisa, Kelly (Rose), Michelle (Rich), Jeff (Jenn), Renée (Ryan), Christa (Noah), Eric, Matthew, seven great-grand-children Kurtis, Katie, Keegan, Raeleigh, Joe, Max and Johnny, brother Edouard, sister Thérèse Dunn (Monnie). His in-laws: Fernand St.Hilaire, Laurent (Huguette), Roger (Denise), Hélène (Aurèle), Jacqueline (Christian), Marcel (Gisele), Pierre. He was predeceased by his first wife Henriette (née Saltel) in 1965. His parents Amanda and Joseph LeBleu, five sisters and two brothers, father-in-law and mother-in-law Augustine and Louis Robidoux and sister-in-law Gracia. Dad loved the lake, was an avid curler, bowler, cribbage player, sports fan. Go Bruins Go! He was active as a Knight of Columbus and president of bingo at St. Louis Centre. Larry had joie de vivre loved regaling us with tall tales and had a thunderous laugh. (Especially when winning at cards). Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre. Thanks to L'abbé Lanoie for words of inspiration. We wish to express our gratitude to Dr. Kowaluk at CancerCare, nurses at 6A South St. Boniface Hospital and Dr. P.J. Mehta for their compassionate and professional care. We would also like to thank the Palliative Care nurses and respite workers for their understanding and thoughtfulness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
