Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERLINDA SAN MIGUEL (CRUZ) March 1, 1944 - September 27, 2012 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Erlinda San Miguel (Cruz), on September 27, 2012 at Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 68 years. Erlinda was predeceased by her father Arcadio Cruz, her mother Salud Espino, her brothers Elpedio, Reynaldo, Nestor, Herminio and her sisters Natividad, Feliciana, Cecilia, and Ofelia. Erlinda will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Leopoldo San Miguel, her daughter Sarah Jane, husband Jonathan, grandchildren David and Sophia, her son Lord Jason, and grandson Russell (Romelyn). Also left to cherish her memory is her brother Edgardo (Hermina), her sisters Iluminada (Manuel) and Benedicta; cousins: Rudy (Lourdes), Gerry (Lerma), Uchie, brothers-in-law Rogelio (Lily), Ricardo (Flor), Conrado (Aida), Noel (Rose), Jhun (Carol), Albert, Romeo (Bessie); nieces and nephews: Darnell, Myra (Heinjie), Roderick, Mabel (Carlos), Jeremy (Linda), Jonathan, Gerald Jr., Joanna, Glennie, Lindsay (Collin), Ferdie, Reden (Jeanne), Jojo (Jerilyn), Michael (Melma), Hazel (Aiven), Chris, Ryan (Joycee), Jenny, Sheryl, Rosel, Jasmine, Vincent, Jon, Christian, Joshua (Myra), Marlon (Liezl), Rowena, Jenny (Peter); numerous grand-nephews and nieces, and numerous relatives from across Canada, Europe, US and the Philippines. She was born on March 1, 1944, in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig, Philippines. Erlinda arrived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with other garment worker recruits in 1968. She worked at Gemini Fashions and Harvel Sports Wear and made many lifelong friends. Erlinda was a very hard working person, and enjoyed caring for her whole family. She loved to cook, and you never left her house with an empty stomach. Erlinda was a very strong woman, taking on life's struggles head-on, she always was willing to help or even just listen, and she had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh and a beautiful smile. Lamay/Prayers will be held from 7:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street with burial and reception to follow at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
