Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I was one of Bob's friends. We met several years ago while attending Maranatha Evangelical Free Church together. The thing that I loved most about Bob was his honesty....he would always say what he felt in a very real way, no pretense or fronts. He'd just "tell it as it is", and I admired him for it! So many people just put on a mask and go through their lives faking it,but not my friend Bob! If he didn't feel great, he said it truthfully, without mincing words. We had many private laughs together over the past few years, as we seemed to truly "get" each other. One thing that many people may not have known about Bob is that he had a lot of compassion.I'm not sure that he expressed that in front of a lot of people, but he showed me his vulnerable side quite often. When my Dad passed away earlier this year, my good friend Bob was one of the first people to phone me and to offer his sympathy to me. He was able to sit and listen to me cry on the phone as I told him how much I was hurting. He offered comfort, shed a few tears with me and told me he loved me. I am so glad that God brought Bob into my life, at just the right time. I will truly miss him, and I look forward to the day that I will laugh with him once again, this time in Heaven. love you Bob! your friend,Darcy - Posted by: Darcy (friend) on: Oct 20, 2012
