VIOLET MABLE BARKER (nee ORR) December 26, 1931 - October 16, 2012 Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Riverview Health Centre, Violet Mable Barker passed away at the age of 80 years. Violet was predeceased by her beloved husband Kenneth James Barker in 1996 and daughter-in-law Sandra Barker in 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Kenneth (Paulette Thiessen), Philip Barker, grandchildren Scott (Nicki), Makayla, and Yvon, great-grandchild Scott Jr., as well as siblings and in-laws spread across Canada. Violet took great pride in being a housewife and mother of two sons. In accordance with Violet's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in Glen Lawn Reception Centre. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Paulette for her loving support and compassion.
