EDNA BURTON On Friday, October 12, 2012, in Winnipeg, Edna Burton lost her long battle with dementia. Edna was born and raised in England, a land she loved to return to for visits. At the request of her husband Harold, she agreed to move to Canada; a decision that she said that she never regretted. Edna is survived by many friends and family spread all over the globe. She touched many lives with her upbeat attitude and desire to help those in need. Edna's life was one of establishment and formation. When learning of the problems of theft at her work, Sears, she took it upon herself to develop a way to protect from it and recoup the losses. So much so, that she was sought out by Sears's competitors to assist them. Although there will be no memorial service, please in accordance to their wishes, surround yourself with friends and loved ones and take a moment to remember Edna and the impact she had on your life.

Edna had so many lovely stories and memories that she shared with my family. They would enjoy visits from their family. Edna and Harold always made everyone very welcome. God Bless Edna and Harold we miss you both. - Posted by: Corinne Butz (former neighbor) on: Oct 24, 2012

Mrs. Burton used to live down the street from my family quite a few years ago. I used to see her when I would take my oldest daughter to school. I would stop and chat with her and my youngest daughter would pet "Ham", as she called "Sam" the dachshund. She was a sweet lady and I missed talking with her. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Burton. - Posted by: D. Hunter (Former Neighbour) on: Oct 21, 2012
