Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID WESTWOOD BOURNS June 21, 1936 - November 22, 2012 Peacefully on Thursday November 22, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer, David passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 76 years. He was predeceased by his wife Jean who passed away in April 2010. He will be sadly missed by his seven daughters, Catherine, Deborah, Joanne, Ruth, Lynn, Adele, Donna, and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Virgie, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Florence, Johnny and Vicky, and several nephews, nieces and cousins. David has served in the Navy in his younger years and had many a story to tell about his travels aboard ship. He was the Jack of All Trades, always on the go, looking for his next project. Had a great interest in political affairs and was an avid sports fan. He had a great sense of humor and most always left you smiling. The family wish to extend their deepest gratification to the health care team of Angels at the St. Boniface Palliative Care. In accordance with David's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

David was my Mother Patricia Isobel Bourns brother. I remember meeting him as a child but unfortunately did not know him as an Uncle. However my Mother spoke of him when we were young and I know she missed him. Mom passed away in 1984. My Mother was his only Sister. My heart goes out to his family and extended family.
