CRAIG (GOOSE) GOSSELIN It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend on November 22, 2012 at the age of 63. Craig will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret Ann, sister Marlene (Curt), children Shannon (Andrew) and Kevin (Dallas) and grandchildren Emma, Sami and Katie. He was predeceased by his parents John and Dallas and sister Connie. Craig grew up in Norwood and no matter where he travelled it was always near and dear to his heart. Some of his greatest memories were spending time with friends and family at the Red Top and "The Wood". Being in the sales industry, "Goose" cherished all his business relationships. He was so charismatic that his customers and competitors all became many of his lifelong friends. "Goose" was well respected in his industry and one of his greatest assets was his humour. Coaching and attending his children's sporting events was something he also enjoyed and later on in life, he got to continue that same fulfillment by attending his granddaughters' activities. Goose loved to give back to the community and one of his favourite charities was Winnipeg Harvest. His favourite hobby was golfing and he had many good times with his golf buddies at St. Boniface Golf Course. In recent years, he loved spending time with friends and family out at the cottage. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the Emergency team at Victoria Hospital. In keeping with Craig's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or Winnipeg Harvest, 1085 Winnipeg Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0S2 The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. • Goose was a respected colleague, friend and competitor of mine for many, many years and I'll always cherish his memory and his many, many, MANY stories and jokes. • It is with great sadness that I learned of the news of Craig's passing today. I had the pleasure of working with Craig many years ago when he and Paul McNaughton and Paul's wife Marilyn were part of Summit Agencies and I worked for Nelson Burns Company. We recently became reacquainted through a new business opportunity and I had spoken to him a few times in the past couple of months and reminisced with him. My deepest sympathies to Craig's family and may he rest in peace. - Posted by: Debbie Sharman (Acquaintance through work) on: Nov 30, 2012

  • Shannon and Kevin, I was extremely saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. I truly hold great memories of Goose and actually break out in a smile recalling his quick wit and humor. I felt fortunate to have chatted with him several months back at a school function in IDC. I could sense that our meeting really meant something to him as well after so many years and he felt it important to pass on his respects for my Dad. On behalf of Marilyn, Michelle, myself and our families we are very sorry for your loss. A life that was to short but lived to the fullest... • Goose will be missed by all that have interacted with him. Not only was he caring, nurturing, professional and astute, but he had an amazing insightfulness about people and himself that he shared through humour. He shared these observations in his very special story telling abilities. If you knew Goose, then you were sure to be entertained with his detailed and engaging tales, all the while giggling himself at his own rendition of the story. We are all so shocked and sad to hear that he is gone. It is a comfort to know that we will continue to laugh with him for ever as we replay these stories in the future. Margaret-Ann, Kevin and Shannon - words can not express how sorry I am. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Jane Gleadall - Posted by: Jane Gleadall (Friend) on: Nov 29, 2012

  • I had the pleasure of a business relationship with "Goose" over a number of years and it was truly a pleasure. There are lots of people in any business or industry who are able to tell you what they are prepared to do for you. Craig, on the other hand, was best of breed in the delivery of the offering as one could always count on him to do what he said he would do and when he would do it. There are few in his league if the measurements of excellence have anything to do with integrity, fairness, honesty and a genuine interest in what was best for the customer. My friend Goose is the standard of professionalism and anyone would do well to model their behaviour and character in his image. On top of everything else, it is also fair to say that Goose was really fun to be around and I always had a better day when Goose was part of my day. Goose is one of those people who will be talked about and remembered fondly for years to come and he will be missed dearly. I pass on my condolences to Margaret Ann and family. - Posted by: Al Derges (Craig was a supplier / vendor to Supreme Basics ) on: Nov 27, 2012

  • Shannon, Kevin and Margaret Ann, I want to offer my condolences for your loss. Craig was a great guy to work with - he made work fun, always approached challenges with enthusiasm and passion, and represented both his customers and his principles with the highest level of integrity. I believe that life is a journey, not a destination, and it was a pleasure to share a part of Craig's journey. - Posted by: Jack Kelly (Friend and work associate) on: Nov 27, 2012

  • Craig always had a welcoming smile and greeted you with "HI, how ya doin'?". We will miss that. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. - Posted by: Judy Anaka & Richard Destine (friend) on: Nov 27, 2012

  • Craig did his job like few others in the industry. What began as a work partnership developed into a true friendship with Journeys. I know Ron will sincerely miss his company, as their meetings were not only productive but full of laughs. As for myself, my memories will be of a second to none sales rep with a warm heart and a ready smile. My condolences to Margaret Ann and the family for your loss. - Posted by: Hilary Pradinuk (Work friends) on: Nov 27, 2012
