Auntie is what I called her and Aunt Aurise would always tell me the story of being an only sister to many brothers. So when my mpom came along she said it was like having your own baby doll. Even though the last time I saw her was in great Brehat NL with Uncle Armand and Ron as well I always thought of her fondly. She was mom's eldest sister and my god-mother and someone I just loved. I know this about her she loved to tease and she loved a good joke. She is up in heaven now making everyone chuckle.Love you Auntie. Bob & Val, Clair, Dianne and Ronald it is with great sorrow I hear of your mother's passed. With even greater sorrow I missed not being apart of her celerbration of life. Every Christmas eve I think of the times we attended midnight mass while you mother was home preparing supper. To tell the truth, all I could think of, through the entire church service was that great food your mother was cooking. She would insist that I had to stay for the family supper and not let me leave until she was satisfied that I had enough to eat. The last time I saw your mother, she and Ronald were waiting for the same flight to Thompson. I was so happy to see her and talk to her that I lost track of what was going on. I heard a boarding call, said my goodbye's to your mother and Ron than jumped on the plane heading to Whale Cove. Calm Air staff hauled me back to the departure gate where your mother was waiting for me to explain. I remember the look on her face as she was trying not to laugh. But my red face was a dead give away and my last memory of you're mother was her smiling at me saying I thought you were going to Thompson!!! I will never forget the Manaigre Christmas suppers, I will never forget all the time I spent growing up in your mothers kitchen and with heavy heart throughout this Christmas season I will be thinking of your mother. My deepest sympathies to all of you, Bob, Clare, Dianne and Ronald, as well as to all members of your family, near and far. My Mom so loved your Mom and Dad and she and Auntie Aurise spoke often by phone and through cards and letters. It's hard to believe how many wonderful Manaigre family members we have lost over the past few years...I remember all of you coming to visit at the farm when we were young and invincible and I remember your Mom being a sweet, kind and fun-loving lady who made us all feel special. I know how hard it is to say goodbye to the Mom who raised you - please know that our love and prayers are with all of you and that our hearts are broken, right along with yours. We will be there Friday to support all of you through this very sad time. Wishing Auntie Aurise God's speed as she once again joins the love of her life in Heaven...We will always miss your Mom and Dad. Your cousin who loves you all, Pauline xoxo - Posted by: Pauline Gauthier (Niece (Auntie Hermine & Uncle Léo's daughter)) on: Dec 20, 2012
