Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE BRISSETTE On December 29, 2012, Marguerite Brissette passed away peacefully with family by her side. Marguerite is survived by her daughters Gloria Wagener, Shirley (Ken) Mann; sons George and Dennis (Jeannette); eight grand-children; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Arthur (Myrna) and Albert (Maretta); sisters Yvonne Brennan and Irene Dupras; and numerous relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Eddie, after 52 years of marriage; her parents Joseph Patrick and Exilda, and brother Emile. Marguerite was born on March 1, 1930 in St. Boniface but lived most of her life in St. Vital. Early on, she was employed by Old Dutch Foods and later by Quinton's Dry Cleaners for many years. She was a superb homemaker and seamstress, ensuring that her children were always well dressed even when money was scarce. She spent many a midnight making sure holiday clothes and costumes were ready for the grandchildren as well. She and Eddie took many trips across Canada and the U.S.A. with their four children. She was a loving and caring person who was happiest when her home was filled with family, friends and laughter. She loved her grand-children and great-grandchildren endlessly. If anyone needed help, she was always there to lend a hand. She enjoyed bowling, golf and playing cards. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. Marguerite accepted her losses and difficulties with grace and dignity. A special thank you to Dr. F. Salem and the wonderful staff at Golden Links Lodge for supporting her throughout those times. Marguerite and Eddie always said Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill . Marguerite had a very loving and forgiving heart. In lieu of flowers and in honor of her memory, be forgiving. Donations, if so desired, may be made to Golden Links Lodge for Resident Entertainment , or to a charity of your choice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Mary's Road. A private interment will take place at a later date. Ran into Shirley and her Mom in St. Vital Center. Both our Moms were going through the same things then and I am sure that they are happier now. - Posted by: Pat Benoit (Masson) (Friend of Shirley) on: Jan 03, 2013

Mrs. Brissette indeed was a very special person. Her religious ways had a huge impact on me which I didn't realize until later years. I am so thankful to her for that. I knew Mrs. Brissette from the time I was a little girl. She always had a sense of humour and I remember always thinking how beautiful she was. Mrs. Brissette, you will never be forgotten and always remembered with much fondness. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Debbie Burgess (Tuck) (Friend of Shirley Mann and family) on: Jan 02, 2013

Aunty Marguerite was a very special person. She was always happy to see you and greeted you with a big smile. She is very happy to be up in heaven with Uncle Eddy and my Mom and Dad. They are probably all playing cards and having a great time. Will miss you Aunty Marguerite. - Posted by: Rose & Bob Havelock (niece) on: Dec 31, 2012
