ADOLPHE GERHART SMITH April 19, 1921 - January 7, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Adolphe at the age of 91 years. He has been reunited in his heavenly home with his beloved wife Bunty, who passed away July 18, 2011. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his loving daughter Heather; sister Lillian; big brother Edmund; daughters-in-law Liz and Shirley; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; special nephew Barry and wife Arlene; and many other relatives and friends. Adolphe was our "Mr. Fix-It" for most of his life. He could fix or make just about anything. He rebuilt his home at 767 Nairn Ave. He built his much loved cottage at Gull Lake where his family and friends gathered to share wonderful times. Adolphe was active in his church throughout his life. He loved singing in the choir with his friends. Adolphe played the accordion and entertained at family get-togethers, McCalman - Grey Seniors and any chance he had. Adolphe loved his family, his church family, all his friends at River East and his Dear Lord. He will be missed by us all. Adolphe's family would like to thank his many devoted friends at River East Personal Care Home for all their love and caring during this difficult time. Donations in Adolphe's memory may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
