We were saddened to learn of Lloyd's passing. I first met Lloyd years ago during the course of our jobs. He always impressed us as a gentle giant of a man. We met again after we both retired and ended up in P2P Resort Park. Lloyd will be missed by all that knew him and we send our sincere condolences to Mary and the rest of the family. PAPA. Papa was my last papa I had but he was the best one. When me my mom and dad visit Winnipeg, he always made me bannock when I went out there. He made me laugh he was funny and interesting and good at cooking. He was the best I'd ever have. He let me ride his tractor it was fun. I'll miss you and always love you. LOVE CALEIGH MCMURCHY. To the family of Lloyd Cooley. I read with sadness of the passing of Lloyd. It seems like and is indeed many years ago when I first met the Cooley family when they lived just 2 houses from my family home on Magnus Avenue and although many years and many changes have taken place since last we spoke I remember the Cooley family with such fondness. Lloyd was the younger brother of my best childhood friend Norma. We played together as kids in our close knit neighbourhood of Shaughnessy Heights. To Norma...I am thinking of you now at this very sad time and wish you peace and keep you in my thoughts often. To Lloyd's wife and family I offer my sincere codolences. - Posted by: Edna (Pedlar) Lee (childhood friend) on: Jan 14, 2013

Mary, Dear Mary....it's still hard to believe that Lloyd has left us and to actually see it in print - what a poignant goodbye note. That would be Lloyd - no fuss - to the point. We are grateful to have walked among and with you both on this time here on earth and fortunate to enjoy many happy times. Mary, may you find peace and comfort in the memories of a life well-lived, and hope for brighter days to come. Sincerely, Linda and Rob Freeman - Posted by: Linda and Rob Freeman (friends) on: Jan 14, 2013

Mary, Ryan, Marlo, Mr and Mrs Cooley, Norma and the rest of Lloyd's family. Our deepest condolences on Lloyd's passing. He and Lee have been friends since they were 13 years old and I met him when I was just 17. I will always remember his introduction to a motorcycle ride with me and I darn near killed the both of us. He would now laugh at that experience. He was there for both of us when Lee joined the forces taking me out for coffee, making me laugh and just letting Lee know all was well at the home front. He was a true friend. All the times the four of us spent together at parties, dances or just suppers it was always a memorable time. We will miss Lloyd terribly. May the memories of your life together and the joys you created and shared over the last 30 years bring you comfort during this difficult time. Lloyd will always have a special place in our hearts. God bless you and your family. - Posted by: Lee and Anne Ashcroft (Very old friends) on: Jan 12, 2013

My condolences are offered to the family. I got to know Lloyd as a young police cadet. I already knew his father through work as well, and Lloyd was a mirror image of his dad in so many ways. He was the kind of person you wanted to be friends with.He would never let you down. I am proud to have been part of his life. - Posted by: Lawrence Klippenstein (Former co-worker) on: Jan 12, 2013
