Mary was a dear lady who became a good friend to my sister and myself over the past two years. Her kind words and loving heart helped to comfort us through a difficult loss in our lives. We enjoyed visiting with her and sharing memories of days gone by. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Beverley Self (Friend) on: Jan 14, 2013

My sister Beverley and I became friends with Mary while she was hospitalized in Concordia Hospital in early 2010. She was in a room across from my mother's room. We had friendly chats with Mary at that time and one day I presented her with a homemade quilt to keep her warm through the night, after she told me she was not comfortable at night. Since then we had stayed in touch with Mary. We enjoyed playing crib with her, sharing our cooking and baking, arranging and rearranging her room and "taking her out" for chinese food. Not one to complain, she was a woman of wisdom, intelligence, strength and great warmth. She always ended our phone conversations and visits with, "I love you." She spoke so lovingly to us of her son and his family, she adored her family. We may not have known her for a lifetime but she has added a chapter in my life that I will never forget. I am so pleased that I was a part of her life and I miss her so much. My sincere condolences to her family, may she rest in loving peace. - Posted by: Teresa Beauregard (Friend) on: Jan 13, 2013

Aunty Mary was a true gem. I would call her up bothered by one thing or another and she always took my side, no matter what, claiming i was her favorite. We always had a private chuckle about me being her favorite and how she would THUMP anyone who hurt me. I will miss you aunty, and our chats. But God needs you now so I have to let you go. Love you - Posted by: Cheryl Harmer-Meyer (Niece) on: Jan 12, 2013
