JODI LYNN JOHNSON Peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2013 with family by her side Jodi passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital (Palliative Care) at the age of 45 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Robert (Bob) and Carol Bownass. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Jennifer, Tim, sisters Brenda Gillis, Tammy Robak (Lawerence), nephews Ryan Gillis (Kyla) and Connor Robak and Rocco the cat. Jodi's passion for nature and the beauty of flowers growing in the spring time, grew into a landscaping position, she enjoyed making things look beautiful. She then found out that driving heavy machinery and trucks of all kinds were a great challenge for a young woman, so she pursued a career in class 1 driving and loved it. Jodi had a great time every mile of the road, especially a season of Ice Road Trucking and was very proud of her accomplishments. Jodi was always willing to do what she could to help others. A celebration of Jodi's life will take place in private by family members and close friends. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital, as well as the Palliative home nurses for their excellent care and compassion they gave Jodi. "Keep on Trucking Sweety" Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
