Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE BASAROWICH Peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 with her family by her side, Annie passed away at Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 101 years. Mom was a month short of her 102nd birthday. Mom was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1995, son Bert, son-in-law Mike Dell, daughter-in-law Caroline Basarowich and grandson and also her parents and brothers Nick and Pete. Mom leaves to mourn her daughter Jean Dell and friend Rudy, son Edward, daughter Eileen and son-in-law Joe Kolopenuk, daughter-in-law Marie Basarowich, and sister Jean Chunick. Baba leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Pine River, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg at a young age, where Mom met Nick and they were married in Pine River. They then moved to Elma, MB where they farmed and raised their children. They retired from farming and moved to Transcona and enjoyed their retirement. Prayers will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium 1800 Day Street. 'Baba', as I knew her, never had an unkind word to say about anyone or anything. She was a truly beautiful person and the world is less without her in it. I appreciated, and will always remember her kindness. I know there is a special place in heaven for her.
