ROSINA (ROSE) LOVALLO (CAPUTO)
Born: Aug 18, 1913
Date of Passing: Jan 30, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSINA (ROSE) LOVALLO (nee CAPUTO) Peacefully, Rose Lovallo passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Tuxedo Villa at the amazing age of 99 years. She always joked that 100 years was too old. Rose was born August 18, 1913 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Dom, her mother and father Joseph and Clara Caputo, siblings Josie, Vera, Yolanda, Pat, Jimmy, Ray and Carl and daughter-in-law Linda. She is survived by her sister Mary Miller, her son Vince Lovallo, grandchildren Todd (Mary-Anne), Jaime (Chad) and her great-grandchildren, James, Nadia and Lincoln. Rose loved watching her TV shows and her Saturday visits to Wal-Mart and Safeway. She was an avid Bomber fan. Rose was infamous for her spaghetti sauce; family friends would try and persuade her for the recipe, but she would never tell her secret. Rose was a devoted mother who always put her son "Vincy" first and her loyalty to her grandchildren was second to none. Nana will be remembered for chasing the kids around with a wooden spoon and being silly any chance she had. Rose will forever be known as that cute, little, spunky Italian lady who had a great sense of humour. Rosie lived a full, healthy life, free of illness, and was a remarkable woman who will be greatly missed. We love you Nana and we celebrate your life. The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their kind and compassionate care. At Rose's request, a private family service will take place. To honour her love of children, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dream Factory, 303-1 Wesley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6, 204-989-4010. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. Auntie Rose was a hard working loving woman-aka Mrs. Clean whose world revolved around her famly. I remember Aunt Rosie used to say she did not want a house of trump-pum-pum! We would go to Sherbrook Street and watch the Santa Claus Parade from the living room window. The home was filled with family and food and treats for the children. Aunt Rose's legacy lives in her son-Vince-grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our deepest condolences. - Posted by: Marie and Dawn Turner (Niece and great Niece) on: Feb 02, 2013
