JEAN ELLEN THORKELSSON In memory of our beautiful and talented artist, Jean Ellen Thorkelsson. Jean was born in Winnipeg on May 3, 1956 and died in Toronto on February 4, 2003. Jean filled the days of all who knew her with love and laughter. She created beautiful art and enriched our lives with her joy. In 1975 when she was just 19 she became severely ill with what turned out to be acute severe cranial multiple sclerosis. With the help of her family and especially her Mom she slowly recovered and was able to live on her own again. She amazed everyone by going on to travel including to her favorite country, Italy. She loved deeply, experienced pure joy and laughter and danced many a night away. She taught all of us to enjoy every day to the fullest. Even when MS began to win the battle and she lived in a hospital she continued to make art, to dance while in a wheelchair and to make people laugh. "Jean, the rest of us still love you to bits and pieces" and miss you.
