DAVID ERNEST CARE
Date of Passing: Feb 03, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID ERNEST CARE It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on February 3, 2013, at the age of 65. Besides his wife Karen whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage this past June, Dave will also be lovingly remembered by sons: Glenn, wife Christine; Darren, wife Jeanne; grandsons Braden, Dylan and Logan; brother Dean, wife Susan; brother-in-law Ken, wife Althea; sister-in-law Sharon, husband Rob; nephews/nieces: Jamie, wife Meghan; Keith; Carley-Ann; Danny; Kristy; great-nephew Aaron; special friends Pat and Larry Peters; many cousins and friends. Dave enjoyed his 30 year career at Manitoba Hydro as an automotive fleet technician. He also enjoyed working on cars in his spare time at home in the garage. He and Karen travelled to many destinations such as Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean and many different casinos including Las Vegas where Dave would joke with his family that the casinos paid him to come. He had many different hobbies that included: wordsearch, puzzles, watching Westerns and mall walking. His biggest joy in life was spending summers at Falcon Lake where he had many friends and fond memories. Dave's priority in life was his family especially his three grandsons whom he adored. Braden, Dylan and Logan were lucky to have such a caring and loving Grandpa who was always there to tease and goof around with, whether at home or at the lake. Memories of our times together are etched in my heart. I will miss you so much, until we meet again. All my love, Karen An informal gathering to share your memories of Dave will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A heartfelt thank you to Carlson Wagonlit and Celebrity Cruise Line. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's Hospital. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

I hold many fond memories of our childhood years, spent in family get togethers at our respective homes or at the beach at family outings, and although over time as we have gotten older, we haven't kept in touch very much, Dave was still family and his sudden passing is a big shock. He was a kind and gentle man, much loved and he will be missed. Rest in peace cousin. - Posted by: Jim Cobb (cousin) on: Feb 09, 2013
