MAUVEREEN FRANCES LETKEMAN November 9, 1928 February 15, 2013 Peacefully on February 15, 2013 beloved wife and mother Mauvereen Frances Letkeman (nee Barnes) passed away at the age of 84 years. Mauvereen was born on November 9, 1928 in Swift Current, SK. She is survived by Gary George Letkeman, her devoted husband and best friend of 66 years; her two children, Murcia (Leo) Konczak of Winnipeg, and Russell (Diane) Letkeman of Sherwood Park, AB; her four grandchildren, Paul (Michiyo) Letkeman, Mauvereen Letkeman, Gary (Ambre) Letkeman, and Robert (Jennifer) Konczak. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and her two brothers, Glen (Eloise) Barnes, Percy (Leone) Barnes and her sister Caroline Letkeman. After a courageous battle with dementia, she finally went home to be with her Lord. She will be remembered for her hearty and infectious laugh, her cooking and baking, her love of life, and her self-proclaimed determination. The world was a better place because she was part of it. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 22 at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium, 1800 Day Street. The family gratefully appreciates the loving care shown to our wife and mother by the staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of Mauvereen Letkeman to St. Norbert Personal Care Home at 50 St. Pierre.
