Today is the very first time we won't be able to celebrate our birthdays together. But I know that you're in a better place looking down on us & I know that was you sending me a sign that you were thinking of me on my bday when the song "Girl on Fire" came on & I could hear your contagious laugh in my mind. It was the best feeling ever & was the highlight of my bday :) Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Nat! Missing you so much. Until we meet again! - Posted by: Jamielyn (friend) on: Jan 15, 2014

We both got to know Natalie, you always knew when Natalie was around you could hear her laugh. Always a smile on her face and a few laughs to be had. We can only imagine what Natalie went through with her health and yet she always had a smile on her face. You are missed Natalie. - Posted by: Valerie and T Rex (Friends) on: Sep 26, 2013

Today I thought of you and almost picked up the telephone to call you.....then it hit me. I don't have words to say how much I miss you, no matter how often I called home, you always have some stories to tell me and make me laugh. I remember one day I was at school until 9pm and I was starving. I picked up the phone and called you, told you I'll be home by 10pm and that I was hungry. I opened the door and only to smell that you cooked me my favorite (at the time) salmon and rice. That's how caring and loving sister you were...I love you Natalie. May your soul rest in peace. I love you, I love you. Always your Suzie. - Posted by: Suzie (Sister) on: Jun 12, 2013

My dearest Natalie, my best friend, my main support, my rock, my sister, my heart. It's been just over 3 months since you went to be with the Lord (and dad) but it feels like yesterday. You were beautiful, smart, energetic, funny, witty, STRONG, loving and so much more. You lit up every room you entered with your colgate smile and charisma. Though I selfishly wish everyday you were still here, I find some peace in knowing your suffering has ended. You are missed more than any string of words can describe and LOVED even more. Rest in peace, in paradise Nats. Your RODFL, J. - Posted by: Janice Edwards-Atkinson (sister) on: Jun 06, 2013

I attended Tyndall Park School, Stanley Knowles School & Sisler High School with Natalie and I remember her fondly. She attended my backyard birthday parties with her best friend Rhonda when we were little girls and she always provided the entertainment. She was hilarious! I was in Mr. Pinx's Grade 5 class with Natalie when she was first diagnosed. She brought her blood sugar monitor to school and showed the whole class how the machine worked. All the while, remaining happy and still making others laugh. My sincerest sympathies to Natalie's family and friends. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Terra-Lynn (Old classmate) on: Mar 05, 2013

When I found out about Natalie, I was shocked. It took me the whole week and then some to find the right words or thoughts to say about her. When the Edawads lived in Tyndall Park I knew them pretty well. We laughed a lot and played music and talked and hung out. Good times. - Posted by: kirk williams (friend) on: Mar 01, 2013

New mercies every morning; Grace for every day, New hope for every trial, and courage all the way. Lets leave our sorrows with Jesus, the "Man of Sorrows" No matter what kind of sorrow we experience, there is only one real comfort - the mercy of God. David, in his own heartache, cried to his heavenly Father. "Have mercy on me, O, Lord, for I am in trouble; my eye wastes away with grief, yes, my soul and my body. Only in the mercy of god can we find comfort for our pain and peace for our troubled hearts. In all losses, we can turn to the true Shepherd, Jesus Christ, who alone can heal our brokenness and grief. When God permits suffering, He also provides comfort. For the follower of Jesus, death means Heaven; happiness and HIM. Natalie, your resilience was a testimony to all. Now you must rest. Free, free from pain and suffering.
