Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • We did not know that morning What sorrow the day would bring, The bitter grief and shock severe To part with one we loved so dear. You bid no one a last farewell No chance to say goodbye, You were gone before we knew it Only God knows why. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Though your smile is gone forever And your hand we cannot touch We never lose the memory Of the one we loved so much. - Posted by: Amy Olson ((Granddaughter)) on: Mar 02, 2015

  • Ed was a very knowledgeable even if all of his facts where not 100 per cent accurate. After a short stay at my house last year he started taking pleasure in researching his facts on the internet. He was amazed at the results he found. He also discoverd that chocolate milk in his Raisin bran was good and he didnt need to add sugar. Ed was very meticulous in his work and always tried to do his work excactly as instructed. One time while working for our Dad his instructions were not as clear as he wanted. When Dad told him to use his common sense he replied Common sense isnt as common as you think. Ed could always be counted on to great you with a big smile and a hug. He genuinely appreciated every visitor to his home. Ed we miss You. Your bro Ron - Posted by: Ron Wiebe (brother) on: Mar 06, 2013

  • A gentle man with a new joke everytime you saw him was Ed. We only knew Ed for a short time, about 3 yrs, through his neighbor Billy. Whenever we would visit, Ed always popped his head in next door "mind if I come for a visit?" we'd laugh and listen to his stories and enjoy a beer together. You'd never see Ed without Dolores close behind, whether they'd be bike riding, going shopping, or just sitting outside enjoying the weather and the neighborhood clan. Only a few days prior to Ed's passing we saw Ed at Billy's with Delores, who knew it would be the last time. It was a pleasure to have known you Ed, even though we never got a chance to bring you to the "cottage". You will be dearly missed. Our thoughts are with your family. - Posted by: Brian & Leslie fr Selkirk Mb (FrIend of a friend) on: Mar 06, 2013
