KAREL (CHARLES) PROSEK It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our friend, Charles on the morning of February 28, 2013, in the comfort of his residence at St. Norbert Personal Care Home, at the age of 80 years. Charles was predeceased by his father, Karel Prosek Sr. and his mother, Justina Kadorova. Beginning in his home city of Prague, Czechoslovakia, Charles utilized his designation as a professional engineer. After leaving Prague for an employment tenure of approximately four years in Paris, France, Charles accepted a position with Motor Coach Industries in Winnipeg, MB and remained dedicated for 24 years until his retirement in 1996. Through employment duties and personal interests, Charles was afforded the opportunity to travel much of the world. Over the years, he visited in excess of 100 countries and was capable of communicating in seven languages. In addition to his world travel interests, Charles was a history and current affairs fanatic that included an after-hours history teaching position with the University of Manitoba in earlier life and numerous hours of reciting world affairs to friends and fellow residents during her retirement years. Special thanks go to Kim, Dr. Miller, Yvonne, Sandy and all the other staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home that made his last years very comfortable your genuine care and assistance was greatly appreciated by Charles and will not be forgotten.
