Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN MCGREGOR (nee DAVIES) 1935 - 2013 It is with sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt on March 28, 2013. Mom was born and educated in Winnipeg and celebrated her 78th birthday on January 28, 2013. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Orville, of 46 years in 2001, and her sister Pat. She will be missed by her children Doug (Dawn), Joanne (Paul), Don (Tracy), sisters Dorothy, Lorraine (John), Val, Claire (Don), grandchildren Cody, Aly and Ryan. Employed with Eaton's the duration of her career she achieved multiple awards in sales. In 1996 she joined dad in retirement life, assisting him in the garden was their favourite pastime. Mom adored her grandchildren and enjoyed many sleepovers with them. Her passions were bingo, reading, bike riding and was a scary movie enthusiast who spent many late hours watching them in delight. Her love for butterflies was evident by the variety she proudly displayed on the walls of her room at Nova Vista Nursing Home. Special thanks to Nova Vista Nursing Home and to nurse Chichi for their outstanding care and compassion they gave to our mother. Private family graveside service will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6. With the blink of an eye, she turned into our beautiful butterfly, rest in peace mom. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
