ERNEST MALCOLM REBEIRO October 8, 1946 - April 14, 2013 It is with deep regret and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Ernest (Ernie) on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the Grace Hospital Emergency, at the age of 66 years. Left to mourn Ernie's passing are his beloved wife June, of 45 years of marriage; daughter Michelle Briscoe (Erin) and grandson Sam of Brighton, England; son Jason of Edmonton; brother Bert (Joan) of Winnipeg; sister Shirley Myers (Tony); mother, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends of Canada and Melbourne, Australia. He was predeceased by his father, Alex in 1977, and nephews, Brian and Darryl Rebeiro of Winnipeg in 1991 and 1999. Ernie immigrated from Calcutta, India to Canada in 1966 and got married shortly after. He spent his entire life in Winnipeg. He worked for C.P. Rail for 31 years as a machinist and retired in 2003. Ernie lived life to the fullest and loved gardening. He was a great dancer, and loved to jive and rock and roll. He and June enjoyed travelling and made many trips to Australia to visit his family. He also travelled to parts of Asia and made one trip to his homeland, India in 2008. On Friday, April 19, 2013 Ernie's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to the Service. A special thank you is extended to the Paramedics and Fire Personnel, who were so quick to respond, and to the Emergency Staff of Grace Hospital.
