MARY DOREEN REINHARDT (nee PATTERSON) It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to our Mom and Grandma on April 14, 2013. Her sudden passing left all who knew her remembering what a healthy, active, and vibrant woman she was. Doreen was predeceased by her husband Robert, three brothers Bill, Vern, and Tim and her parents Joseph and Francis Patterson. Doreen is survived by daughter Deborah (Brent), sons Chris and Ross (Betti), and the light of her life granddaughter Brittany. Many nephews and nieces and a great number of friends are grieving the loss of this strong, independent woman. Doreen grew up in St. James and was a graduate of St. James Collegiate where she was valedictorian. Her summers were spent at Ingolf, ON, where she met Robert Reinhardt her husband of over 55 years. Ingolf later became home to family members, and will continue to be for further generations. Of the many places Doreen worked, McMillan Bloedel Packaging was where she had spent most of her working years. Doreen's hobbies included square dancing, crossword puzzles, water skiing and making crafts. Doreen's two passions were knitting and playing bridge. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to a charity of your choice or the Ingolf Campers Association. A memorial service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. • We were very saddened to learn that Doreen had passed away. We have many fond memories of your mom and aunt, especially from our days as kids at the lake - she was always happy to see us and would often invite us into her cottage for a cold drink. She was a kind, friendly and generous person. May your memories of happy times together help to ease your sorrow. - Posted by: Cathy and Bob Hummelt (Friends) on: Apr 25, 2013

  • Dear Debbie Chris Ross and families. It's hard to believe that two of our "Well-Seasoned Gals" are gone. They added so much to our good times at West Hawk Lake. It was a real shock for me to hear of Doreen's demise. When we were together last October she was the picture of good health. We have had many happy times together. The most memorable at the lakes snowmobiling trips from Ingolf to Falcon with a stop at West Hawk for some refreshments to warm up. Also fun trips on your Mom's pontoon boat. I'm so sorry I won't be home to attend the funeral but just know my thoughts will be with you. My girls also extend their condolences to you all. Love Irene. - Posted by: Irene Hodgson (Friend) on: Apr 18, 2013

  • It is with great sadness and shock to hear of Doreen's passing....We are so sorry we could not be at the service for Doreen today...It is with fond memories and stories of Doreen that we will keep close to our hearts...Especially, our time with Doreen and Bob in Florida, where she skunked all of us at cards, her delicious meals she served to us on our visits to her home and our long conversations on life....She was a vibrant, no nonsense and wise woman with a warm heart and smile for all....We will miss her dearly....May she rest in peace....Our thoughts, love and prayers to the Reinhardt Family... - Posted by: John and Sharon Zappe (Friends) on: Apr 18, 2013

  • Farewell Doreen---When we first came to Ingolf we met at the Community Hall and you made an impression. You would be busy helping out with events and always with a sunny disposition. Who can forget those yummy lemon squares you would bring on our Pontoon outings? They were the best! I remember how calm and collected you were the day the Ingolf road washed out and we ended up travelling from the far end of the Lake on an open Barge in the rain. It was Bob's last Summer at the Lake and we all had an adventure that day! We will miss you. - Posted by: Tanyss and Roy Ward (Friends) on: Apr 18, 2013
