AMY LOU UNRAU It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amy Unrau at St. Boniface Hospital on April 20, 2013, at the age 53. She peacefully passed away with her family by her side after a courageous long battle with cancer. Left to cherish and remember her are her husband Lawrence, her four children Amie-Jo (Kyle), David, Ted (Janell) and Suzanne and her six grandchildren Jaylynn, Braxton, Lucas, Austin, Dylan and Scarlette; also her five sisters and two sister-in-laws. Waiting to greet her upon her passing are her parents Norbert and Georgia (Babe) Inderrieden and her brother Butch. Amy was born on October 21, 1959, in Detroit Lakes, MN. She married Lawrence Henry Unrau on September 18, 1982, and moved to Winnipeg. She prided herself on being a devoted and loving mother and Nana. She loved to be with her family, crochet and garden. She worked for Phil-Mar Book Bindery for many years. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and a small service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. She will have her final resting spot in Detroit Lakes, MN. Thank-you to the kind and caring staff at St. Boniface Hospital. She was able to experience their compassion during her passing and the days before during her last treatment. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the CancerCare of Manitoba in her name.
