Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNI MARTHA BUHLE July 15, 1930 - April 20, 2013 Peacefully with her children by her side, Anni passed away at Teulon Hospital at the age of 82 years. Anni was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Willy, her parents Otto and Martha Schapitz, brothers Otto, Heinz and Werner, sister Liesbeth and stepfather Otto Buhnemann. Anni will be forever loved and remembered by her children Roswitha (Larry), Ralph (Cathy), grandchildren Sabrina, Savannah, Lee, Shelby and Sasha, her five great-grandchildren, her sister Hilda Schubert (Werner) of Herne, Germany, nieces and nephews in Germany, and brother-in-law Ernst Buhle (Hilda). Anni was born in Calbe, Germany. She immigrated to Canada in October, 1958, settling in Winnipeg. After living in East Kildonan for two years, the family moved to Windsor Park, where she would live for the next 52 years. She enjoyed her bingo nights for many years, reading Harlequin romances, German music, swimming and her morning walks which made her known to many in the neighbourhood over the years. Anni cherished her many friends, and above all her family, distant and close. She touched many around her with her humour, generosity and easygoing nature. It was these traits and more that made us proud to call her our mom, oma and friend. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A special thank you to Dr. Loudon and the nursing staff of the Teulon Memorial Hospital for their loving care and support. Tante Anni as she was known to me was a warm and generous person. She was always willing to help in any way and was like a sister to my mother.
