I have wonderful memories of Mrs. Patridge to help cloud out the sorrow I am feeling. We had so many good times & laughs in the kitchen when I was supposed to know what I was doing she was giving me instructions. I am so grateful that I got to meet & bond with her. She had strong opinions about cooking & baking skills that I appreciated she taught me well. I loved how she would say "Orders from Headquarters" My thoughts are with you George, your mom thought the world of you - Posted by: Tanis (Friend) on: May 20, 2013

Auntie Lil was a special person who warmed your heart in many ways. She was somebody who truly lit up a room in which she entered and was always one of the last to leave. It was as if she was ageless because she was so full of life and was always the center of attention. I recall at our wedding over 25 years ago, as George articulately performed and was excellent as our Master of Ceremonies, Lil happily took center stage and graced us all with her strategic moves on the dance floor. In fact, she sought out our photographer, who also was single and around her age, and Auntie Lil would not let him sit down the entire night! We joked later that the photographer was probably afraid to stop dancing. Maybe that's why we didn't get as many pictures as we thought we might. Auntie Lily was a people person who loved to laugh and laughed often she did. She had that special giggle that was infectious to all who heard it. Also, just like my Nana, could this lady ever cook! I will forever recall those incredibly special meals she made for me whenever we shared a visit. Those massive meatballs in tomato sauce, the Cabbage Rolls, the meatloaf.....simply amazing. She was similar in so many ways to my own Mother, Gerri, My Auntie Shirley and my Nana, Helen (Auntie Lil's sister)who was a splitting image of Lil. These people were kind, caring, considerate and so full of unselfish love. On Behalf of my family, we send our deepest condolences to George and his entire family. Auntie Lil will be forever remembered and never forgotten as she has touched all of our lives in so many special ways. - Posted by: Terry Lawrence (Great Nephew) on: May 19, 2013

Aunty Lil always had an opinion but with it came love and understanding. She was funny, kind, and always appreciated a funny story. We never had the chance to dance and celebrate like she so much enjoyed but I'm sure she dancing now... Always in my heart and thoughts. My deepest sympathy to her family for their loss, for she will be missed by all that knew her. - Posted by: leah (friend) on: May 18, 2013

Auntie Lil had a real spice for life. Whenever there was a family wedding or anniversary she was always the first one on the dance floor and the last to sit down. I had a graduation from dentistry party for my brother Curtis in 1988 and things got quite carried away on the deck by the pool. There was singing, laughing, accordion playing and Auntie Lil jiving away with anyone she could pull out of their seats. All were having fun until someone called the cops. Two fairly handsome officers showed up to see what was going on when suddenly Auntie invited them to come party with us when they were off duty. They walked off with huge smiles on their faces and gave me a noise violation warning. I am grateful to have so many fond memories that I will cherish for days to come. My condolences to George and family. Hugs and love, Cindy - Posted by: Cindy Stark (Great Niece) on: May 18, 2013

Mrs Patridge was a neighbour of my family on Horace Street. She was good friends with my Mother Annette and I would like to extend my condolences to her family on her passing. I would like to share a quote I always use when someone has passed on. "She has not died but merely gone away to a better place free of pain and suffering. We will be with her again some day" RIP Lil - Posted by: Patricia Homenick (Horace Street neighbour) on: May 17, 2013
