THELMA MORTON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Thelma Morton on May 22, 2013 at Riverview Health Care Centre with her children by her side. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Mark (Danielle), Tania (Shayne), and Catheryn, her grandchildren Courtney, Ainsley, Kyle and Shelby. Mom will also be missed by her mother Salome, Sister Ruth, nieces Grazia (Gerald), Hope (Ben), and many cousins, nieces, nephews and her adopted family. Thelma was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer and her father Antonio. Thelma was born on September 4, 1943 in Manila and grew up in Agno, Pangasinan. After graduating from nursing in 1964 she moved to Dryden, ON where she became an R.N. After a couple of years her parents joined her in Dryden, and sister in Winnipeg from the Philippines. Many of her happiest moments were spent in the presence of her family, whether it was a large or small gathering. She also liked to spend her time cooking, travelling, or playing slots with close friends, Mayah, Kim and Claire. Mom always was the life of the party. Lamay (Viewing) will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at St. Emile Church, 556 St. Anne's Road. We would like to express our appreciation to the staff of Victoria Hospital and Riverview for their kindness, care, and compassion given to our mother as well as to the family.
