Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I have known Dorothy for most of my life as she worked with my mother Olive for many years in Dauphin. I have many fond memories of days when she would babysit me while Mom was at work and while Mom watched the boys while she worked. As the years passed we lost touch when she moved to Winnipeg and I married and moved to Alberta. I will always treasure the time we had after we reconnected the last few years, especially the garage saling and the afternoon she joined us (Darlene, Kjeryn and myself) on the riverboat. It was a wonderful day we will all remember. She was a great lady and I was blessed to know her. - Posted by: Sharon Clark (nee Calvert) (longtime family friend) on: Jun 07, 2013

  • We are so very sorry to hear of your passing. It has been awhile since we last seen you, but believe me, you were always in our thoughts. You were an unbelievable lady and I just wish that I had the strength to do what you did! Am so glad that we had the pleasure in meeting you and will one day meet again. Deepest condolences to the boys and their families. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Be strong and remember now she will always be with you, good times and bad and will be there to help you through it all! - Posted by: Audrey Richardson & Delaney Isaac (friend) on: Jun 07, 2013

  • I will remember Dorothy for her avid yard sailing. I can't tell you how many times over the years I would bump into her and Darlene on a Saturday morning somewhere in St. Vital. We'd give each other advice on where the sales were good and where they were not. My favorite being the time we all did the North Kildonan. Henderson Hwy strip. Dorothy never going this way on her own for fear of getting lost. Early one Saturday morning the three of us set out on our trip. Besides looking for treasures we decided we would do lunch at Skinners in Lockport for hotgogs.. But when we finally got there. Dorothy decided she wanted A&W instead. So that's what we did. Now every time when I go yard sailing or see a sign for one. I will remember Dorothy fondly. - Posted by: Claudette Chudy (Friend) on: Jun 06, 2013
