Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILDA JANE ROBINSON It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of my mother Wilda Jane Robinson, on Tuesday evening June 25, 2013 at the age of 95. She is predeceased by her husband of sixty-three years Ormond "Ormie" Leslie Robinson. Born Wilda Jane Collett in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 6, 1918. Wilda will be forever remembered by her daughter Kathy Robinson-Hays and son-in-law James Terry Hays of Duncanville, Texas. Wilda was born and grew up in Winnipeg where she attended Kelvin High School and later worked for many years at the Manitoba Grain Exchange in downtown Winnipeg. Wilda was an avid golfer and member of Southwood Golf and Country Club where she served as President of the Canadian Ladies Golf Association. Known for her wit, charm, sense of humour and love of music and dance Wilda will be forever missed. Her wonderful smile and outgoing personality were always present and her amazing strength and endurance allowed her and her loving husband "Ormie" to live together independently until his death in 2010. In accordance with Wilda's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family is eternally grateful to Lorna McConnell and Larry Robinson, Debbie and Robert Dupas and all the staff at Parkview Place whose loving care and attention gave Wilda tremendous comfort and peace in her final years, as well as Dr. Virginia Fraser for your above and beyond support given to Wilda and her family. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Wilda to the Parkview Place Care Centre, 440 Edmonton Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3B 2M4.
