RICHARD (RICK) JOHN PETROW The family sadly announces the passing of Rick Petrow on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the age of 65 years. Rick is survived by his wife, Gloria, his dad, John, mother-in-law, Rose Schneider, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Faylene Schneider and cousins, Gloria Keats, Mary Taylor and Dave Jandrisch. Rick was born in Winnipeg on July 12, 1947. In his early years he played junior hockey in Winnipeg. He was a member of St. Boniface Golf Club, this being his 50th year at the club. Rick loved to golf; both playing and watching it on tv. Rick was a very quiet, kind and thoughtful person and he will be dearly missed. In keeping with Rick's wishes cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. For those who wish to honour his memory, the family requests you just remember the good times you had together or consider a donation to a charity of your choice. "LUV YA." • It has been 14 months and I still cannot believe you are not coming home. I thank you for all the memories I have and will love you forever. - Posted by: Gloeria Petrow (Wife) on: Sep 01, 2014

  • Rick's passing was a total shock. He was a very pleasant person and a dedicated son to his father. Our deepest sympathy to Gloria. - Posted by: Ed and Carole Popel (friend of Rick's father John.) on: Jul 03, 2013

  • Rick was a true friend always kind, and considerate and always thinking of others. I'll miss my golf games with Rick. For him golf was a simple game - hit it in the fairway, put it on the green, two putts and go to the next hole. He had a genuine concern for others always interested in how others were doing. You'll be missed my friend. - Posted by: Vince Boschman (Friend) on: Jul 02, 2013

  • Rick was a great guy. He was usually a quiet person, but at family gatherings his warmth and kindness to all, his great sense of humour -especially with kids, made him a pleasure to be with. He left us too soon, but I'm sure his mother was happy to welcome him to heaven. Those of us he left behind will remember him with fond memories. Gloria, you have our deepest sympathies. - Posted by: Dave Jandrisch (Cousin) on: Jul 01, 2013
