MARIA PRSA (MARIJA PERNAR) Marija Prsa, born June 17, 1930, of Prince George, BC went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on June 22, 2013. Marija was sixth of eight children born to Ivan and Mande Pernar of Mali Kut Krizpolje, Croatia. She is survived by her brother Josip Pernar, his wife, and their family in Croatia; her son Vlado (Walter) Vukovic and his wife Mary; grandchildren Julie, Joanna (Mark), Rose, Matt and Maggie; and great-grandchildren Matthew, Veronica, Jure and Diana. Marija was predeceased by her parents, her husband Milan Prsa (1995), her son Walter Prsa (1997), sisters Anka, Mandica, Ljubica; and brothers Vladimir, Tomislav and Ivan. She will be missed by her family and friends in Australia, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany and Mexico. Mom was a religious woman who devoted her life to Jesus Christ and her extended church family and friends. She worked hard for everything she had and took many risks to give her family a better life. She was proud of her grand and great-grandchildren, but the apple of her eye was always Vlado. Rest in peace, Baba, you are finally free. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
