The Thornton family moved to Oakville, Ontario just before her third birthday. Joan grew up on the main street where her father had a bakery for 40 years. Joan passed away at home on July 11, 2013. The fondest memories that I have of Joan are all the great times that we spent over the bridge table. Those were wonderful Tuesday evenings. Joan was a "LADY" in every sense of the word. I know she will be greatly missed. My condolences to you Ross and your family. Sincerely Sue - Posted by: Sue Eckford (Tuesday Bridge Club) on: Jul 20, 2013
