Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUSTIN JOHN BEATTY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Austin John Beatty on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the age of 70. Left to mourn his death and cherish his memory are his loving wife Lillian, of 48 years, his daughter Leanne (Gordon), sons Austin John (Shauna), and Vincent (Tonya), grandchildren Devon, Alexandra, Cheri, Rick, James Austin John and Brianna, Grandpa's princess, and sister Beverly (Emilio). John will always be remembered in a very special way by his numerous nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law for his great generosity and the sharing of many family gatherings. John began his career with Abitibi paper in 1963. In 1965 they moved to St. John, NB where he and Lillian lived and raised their children for 24 years. In 1989 John went for startup of the mill in White Court, AB. In 1995 he went to work in Australia for three years and then on to New Zealand for two. Upon returning to Canada, John did some consulting. He wrapped up his career in St. Mary's paper mill in Sault St. Marie, ON as mill manager. Upon retiring, Lil and John returned to their home province of Manitoba. Having done much traveling over the years, John spent his retirement years rebuilding his cottage, gardening, fishing, enjoying his sports, feeding his birds and furry friends and wintering in Mexico. John will be truly missed. We would like to thank everyone at the Pinawa Hospital and Cancer Centre for all the devoted care. A very special thank you to Dr. Bruneau for his most compassionate care and understanding. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26 at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, MB. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
