Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • There are people that come into our lives that make the world a better place, simply because of who they are. Aunt Roma was one of these people. My memories begin when I was only 6 years old. There is not one memory that I have of her that doesn't leave me with a smile. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever. My deepest sympathy to Uncle Mac, the boys and their families and all those she left behind. - Posted by: Sharol Bilodeau (niece) on: Aug 07, 2013

  • A shining light has left us but her spirit remains in each and everyone of us that has been touched by her in some way. I will cherish the memory of my god-mother. She knew how to brighten up your day with a knowing look, a gentle smile, a funny gesture. She loved her family so much! Listening to her sing and her little stories are just a few of my fond memories of her. My mom loved to laugh with her and welcomes her now with all the others. She will be missed. - Posted by: Sandra Morton (Niece) on: Aug 03, 2013

  • Beautiful, Tender and Loving. To me that was Aunt Roma. It didn't matter what life had handed her she always had a smile. She loved her boys to pieces, along with her siblings. She was never shy to show her love and affections towards her family. She made a lot of good memories for all of us who knew her. No doubt she is an angel. - Posted by: Debra Heinrichs nee Bilodeau (niece) on: Aug 02, 2013

  • My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Mac and family, Allan and Trina, Dean and Stacy no one will ever be able to replace your Mother, Grandmother, [Grandma] You were all loved by her. Keep her in your hearts and remember all the good times. She was the most pleasant person you would want to meet and most definitely an infectious smile. I used to tell her that every so often, seemed to me her favorite saying was REALLY when she got a compliment and she was a lovely looking lady. Bless You All, there is a saying that all angels have wings and I truly think she was given a pair. - Posted by: Elsie Kennedy (Friend/Acquaintance) on: Aug 02, 2013

  • Aunty Roma was the best. We always looked forward to when she would come to Laurier for a visit because there was always lots of fun and laughter. I can still picture her dark beautiful kind eyes that smiled at everyone. She was a very sincere and caring lady who truly loved her family. Now she is in good hands with mom in heaven. There will always be a special place in my heart for my sweet Aunty Roma. Till we meet again xo. - Posted by: Donna Bilodeau Odell (niece) on: Aug 01, 2013

  • Mrs. Cameron was such a lovely soul. It has been many years since I have seen her, but she has always been in my thoughts and prayers. She was very kind to me and anyone who was lucky enough to have known her. I can see her in Elizabeth everyday. I just loved her smile...it lit up any room she was in. She had the most beautiful eyes and the most gorgeous hands, which Elizabeth (granddaughter)was lucky enough to inherit both of. Mr. Cameron, Allan-Trina, Dean-Stacey Elizabeth and Benjamin, Selina, Sierra. there are no words I can say to help take this terrible pain away. I am so sorry for your loss. Heaven is getting a beautiful angel, but a piece of her still lives in each of her kids who she loved so much. Take care of yourself and each other. - Posted by: Cathy Seaton (Mother of her Grand Daughter) on: Jul 31, 2013

  • Aunty Roma and Uncle Mac lived in Calgary for a few years when I was a kid and it was such a treat to have her close by. Mom and I would walk over to their house on summer evenings and have a little visit. She had such a delightful, light-hearted energy that she lifted the spirits of people around her. Sometimes when we have sing alongs at my uncle Earl's house (her brother), we sing some of her favourite songs. She had a lovely voice and it was nice to hear her sing once in awhile. My thoughts were with her over the years even though we lived three provinces away. And she will still live in our hearts, having left the world a better place for her presence in it. - Posted by: Marlene Adam (niece) on: Jul 31, 2013
