Born in Montreal on December 31, 1926, she was married to her dear husband Harold on October 1, 1949 at St. Brendan's in Montreal by her brother Leo, a Redemptorist priest. They relocated to Winnipeg in the fall of 1978 with their children, and subsequently spent their winters in Sarasota, Florida and their summers at the cottage in Falcon Lake. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and acquaintances. Vi was predeceased by her father Patrick, her mother Mary, and five of her siblings: Fr. Leo, George, Ed, Geraldine and Norman. The family appreciates immensely the loving care and compassion of Shellie Anderson and the 5th floor nursing staff; the gynecology and palliative care teams at the Women's Pavilion and Dr. Kevin Coates for his years of care. Vi was a close friend and neighbor in Sarasota. We went to many of her parties I could never figure out how she could fit sooo many friends in such a small space, but she did it and a great time was had by all always. I'll miss her very much. may she rest in peace. God Bless - Posted by: Roberta Duquette (friend) on: Aug 14, 2013

My sincere sympathy to the family on the death of Vi. I have fond memories of Harold and Vi at parties and get-togethers with Dodie, Peggy and my late husband Peter Griffin. I'm so sorry for your loss. Love, Luanne - Posted by: Luanne Griffin (My husband's cousin) on: Aug 14, 2013
