EILEEN FARNFIELD (formerly ALLAN) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother and grandmother Eileen Farnfield at the age of 95 years. Eileen was predeceased by her parents Jim and Emily, first husband John Allan, second husband Frank Farnfield, two sisters, three brothers and her loving daughter-in-law Fran Allan. Eileen leaves to cherish her memory her son Paul, granddaughters Krista (Mike) and Lisa (Cory) and great-grandchildren Celina, Carter, and Josie. She will also be remembered by her very special niece Barb Robertson and the Munday Family. Eileen was born in Carlisle, Cumberland, England and moved to Canada with her family as a young child. She grew up on Talbot Avenue in Elmwood and spent many years working for McGavin's. She spent endless summers at Grand Beach and many winters as a snowbird in Florida. She will be remembered for her trademark bright pink lipstick, high heel shoes, and love of the sun. She used Nivea Cream every day and swore it was the secret to looking young. Eileen loved being around people and her family was her pride and joy. She always had a smile on her face and her joy for life was infectious. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff of Vista Park Lodge for the care and compassion they showed our mother and grandmother over the last several weeks and years. In keeping with Eileen's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
