KLARA ELIZABETH HOFFMAN Peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2013, Klara Elizabeth Hoffman passed away at Misericordia Place. She formerly lived for 11 years at River East Personal Care Home. Klara was predeceased by her parents, four siblings, and her husband Paul Hoffman. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Klara was born in Breslau, Germany in 1920 and passed away at the age of 93, the only member in her family to reach that age. She was a great dancer and loved to sing. We will always remember Sunday dinners, her Rouladen, and kloesel (dumplings) with red cabbage. Her last outing with her granddaugher Robin at the Bistro Dansk was her favourite red cabbage meal. Her son Nick loved to call her his Queen, as Klara was a perfectionist and loved the royal family. Klara had a keen fashion sense and delighted in her daughter Brigitte's regular deliveries of beautiful clothes. Klara had a determination, strength, and deep love of her family that have shaped all of our lives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
