Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • I returned to work after a long holiday hoping to see Peter, finding later he had left us. Death sucks, Cancer sucks, it has taken my friend. Peter, I thank you for your service, your friendship and most certainly....All the pranks and humour. I wish you a long, peaceful and well deserved rest. Rest in peace. • It was a pleasure knowing Peter. He was a kind, soft spoken gentleman. Dyane, Leanne and Marc will certainly find a hard to fill space in their lives. We didn't make it to Peter's service as we had a conflicting appointment that we could not cancel but we were thinking of Peter last Friday morning and our thoughts are with the family. • Dyane and Family, my husband and I both work at RRC and every morning pulling into the South Lot, Peter would greet us with a smile and a wave hello. Walking past the "booth" I will always remember him smiling and saying "good morning Mr. and Mrs." in his friendly manner. He will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. - Posted by: Rose-Ann & Bill Jost (co-worker/friend) on: Sep 12, 2013

  • Some people shine more brightly in this world because of their kindness and gentle ways. Peter had a great smile and we shared lots of laughs. A great gentleman!! - Posted by: Phyllis (Co-worker) on: Sep 12, 2013

  • Peter was an awesome man, I will miss seeing him at work every morning and telling each other stories of our life when we grew up in England. I love the Polo candies Peter remembered to bring me back from England. Will miss you Peter - Posted by: Cindy Friesen (co-worker) on: Sep 12, 2013

  • Peter, I shall never forget you. The times we shared on the Canoe Club Golf Course - the Curling games at the old Strathcona Curling Club will be remembered forever. We lost track of each other - until about five years ago when a friend at RRC mentioned your name - So several times we shared a Tim's at your work-place and were able to catch up on all the bye-gone years. Dyane, Leanne and Marc our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. Rest In Peace - my friend.....Bernard - Posted by: Bernie Rostek (Friend) on: Sep 11, 2013

  • My family and I are very sad and sorry to hear of Peter's passing. We were friends back in grade school in England and were reunited in Toronto. We attended Pete and Dyans wedding in Winnipeg. We often talk of the good times we spent together, and our thoughts will be with you at this sad time. - Posted by: Ron Catt (A Friend) on: Sep 11, 2013

  • I am so sorry that Mr. Peter Kennedy is no longer here. He was neither my colleague nor my friend in the true sense. But, I wish he was. Through our periodic interactions in the Red River College parking lot, we had developed a relationship that was very friendly and respectful. He reminded me of my own father with his looks and demeanour. Although he did his commissionaire job as a casual thing to be occupied, he took his role very seriously and carried out his responsibility with class, dignity and friendly attitude. Without drawing much attention to himself, he was indeed a great ambassador of Red River College. I have found him to be a very good person with wonderful human spirit. I am sure, it would have been very captivating to sit and chat with him over a cup of coffee or, better yet, a shot of good scotch. I will miss him very much. He deserves to be remembered with fondness and respect. Fondly and respectfully, - Peri - Posted by: Peri Venkatesh (Acquaintance) on: Sep 11, 2013

  • My sympathy to you Dyane and your family. I remember when meeting you and Peter and how he was such a gentle and compassionate man. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. - Posted by: Norbert Collette (friend) on: Sep 11, 2013

  • I have been with RRC for approximately 10 years. While I was never 'formally' introduced to Peter when I started, he was one of the first people to make me feel welcome here. We never spoke, other than a 'good morning', or 'hello', but his smile and friendly face spoke volumes. I was sorry to hear this very sad news, and will miss seeing his friendly, wholesome face. - Posted by: Karen (Co-worker) on: Sep 11, 2013
