Bruce, I can't fathom it has been 10 years. Mandie and Steve and I will always treasure memories of you. Playing computer games and rollerblading with Dixie 😌 You put your whole heart into everything you did. You loved your family so deeply and treated your friends so kindly. Even Travis from Industrial who only knew you a short time remembers you fondly. RIP you beautiful one of a kind soul. 🩵 - Posted by: Carolyn Harvey (Friend) on: Sep 24, 2023

I remember as kids going to the house at Lac St Anne, and Sangudo, and always a houseful of cousins! One trip we went down to Chilliwack and Bruce and Betty and the kids came over - they were just small then. Had a good visit. A few years ago we had a small Hennig reunion up at GP and Bruce and Auntie Olga came up for it. Everyone was so glad to see him as it had been many years...so glad he was able to make it. I never met Susan, but mom used to write to her at Christmas and she would keep us up to date on how they were. Thinking of you all at this sad time....take care. The first time I met Betty and Bruce I am not sure what they thought. Maybe that little brother had married a hysterical crazy woman. As we pulled up outside Dot's house there was a grasshopper that was in the car and jumped on me (bug phobia came into play) and as I got out I was trying to get it off of me. I was swatting at it and it kept jumping on me. Finally it jumped away and I could enter the house for supper. They had a good laugh watching me out the kitchen window. - Posted by: Kerry and Vern (sister and brother in law) on: Sep 24, 2013

I was practicing some shooting with my grandfather (Robert Sanborn), my dad and Uncle Bruce. Uncle Bruce was in Chilliwack, B.C. I had been shooting a 243 and decided that I would like to try out one of my grandfathers guns so Uncle Bruce says, "Here try this out ..." I knew it was a strong caliber gun than I had been shooting with but I was 13 so I thought ok. Got the sight up to my eye and my Uncle Bruce starts to giggle. I knew I was in trouble and thought my shoulder would need icing afterwards. So I got in tight and squeezed the trigger. Bam, the sight had left a nice semi circular shape between my eyes that soon started to bleed profusely. The gun he gave me was a 300 weatherby magnum. Man did he laugh after that. I will miss you Uncle Bruce - say hi to Dad and Grandpa. - Posted by: Shaun Galloway (Newphew) on: Sep 22, 2013
