TEYA ANNE PATRICE RAMSAY
Date of Passing: Sep 24, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTEYA ANNE PATRICE RAMSAY June 30, 1999 - September 24, 2013 The true measure of love is to love without measure. Teya's sudden passing of natural causes on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the tender age of 14 years has been like a lifequake to all those who knew and loved her. How does one begin to capture the essence of Teya Anne Patrice. A petite, vibrant beauty with enchanting green eyes that lit up like diamonds. A cosmic burst of love coming at you from all directions filling up every space in the room. An absolute riot with all her facial expressions and random impressions complete with verbal accents that made you roar with laughter until your sides hurt. A fiercely loyal friend who found goodness and kindness and worth in everyone. A self-taught artist with an exceptional ability to capture expression and feeling in her newly discovered enjoyment of pencil portrait sketching. A vivid imagination with an eye for photography that could take the mundane and make it extraordinary. A natural talent on the piano and a gifted composer of music. An angelic singing voice that could reduce you to tears with its passion and glory - especially when she thought no one was listening. A humble soul who regularly dismissed all of her talents as just so-so. A social butterfly who spent hours interacting online with friends and friends of friends. Teya always had a friend to talk to and others waiting to get in on the chat. She was the best snuggler and hug-giver around. Teya touched your heart, lifted your soul and made you want to be a better person. Teya had just graduated from Linden Meadows School in June and had embraced the start of her 9th Grade at Shaftsbury High School with such enthusiasm. Teya's true gift was her love for people and her belief in the intrinsic worth and dignity of every human being. She aspired to become a social worker to help lessen the troubles of the world and ease the burden of anyone who may be suffering. We have no doubt that she will continue to encourage us and touch our lives with her spiritual presence. The legacy of Teya's love will be forever cherished by her parents, Tracey and Lawrence Ramsay, dearest brother Tyson Ramsay and beloved dog Bella; grandparents John Bellin and Pat and Larry Ramsay. Also left to mourn her passing are her aunts and uncles - Duane (Barb) Bellin, Sheryl (Tom) O'Quinn, Shelley (Paul) McLean, Lisa (Ken) Kroker and cousins - Shawn and Kaylee Bellin, Lindsay (Josh) Loeppky, David McLean, Kent (Kaci) Kroker, Brett (Brittany) Kroker and Holly Kroker. Teya is now reunited in heaven with her precious Nana, Annie Bellin, who left us in 2001. Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Firefighters from Station 12, the Paramedics and everyone in the Children's ER for their expert care. A special thank you to the NICU girls for taking the time to give us a special gift that we will always treasure. To Teya's Piano teacher, Chris, our eternal thanks for guiding her love of music and song and making her realize that last evening just how good she was. Our gratitude also to Kaitlyn, who held Teya and told her she was loved and that her mom was on the way. Our deepest thanks for the outpouring of support and love from our families, friends, Teya's friends and everyone who has reached out to us in kindness. In lieu of flowers and to honour Teya's passion for supporting her friends and classmates, donations can be made to Shaftesbury High School's Student Support Centre. Teya would love for us to furbish a place at the school where kids can sit and talk and help each other out. And please honour her always by extending an act of kindness toward one another. Please join us in a celebration of Teya's life on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Teya, never forget how much you are loved. All the stars in Heaven could never shine as bright as you. She always had a lot of friends and I am glad I was one of them. I remember hanging upside down on the tall chairs in front of your front window and telling each other how funny we looked. I heard of your tragic loss through my children who attend Shaftesbury High School. I have never met you or your daughter, but have been thinking often about your family. I can't imagine your level of suffering right now. Although different, our family has also suffered an overwhelming loss in the past. I remember so vividly the all consuming grief, that impacted every moment of every day. I know that the absence of Teya will be felt from the moment you awaken to the moment you fall asleep. I want you to know that what helped my family through our darkest moments was realizing our lost loved one would want and need us to strive to find happiness again. A message was left for us stating "Live in the moment, and enjoy life every day" Our family realized that if all our lives were ruined, then we not only lost our loved one, but in fact we would lose everyone. So as painful as it was, we found a way live in the moment and tried to enjoy life as best we could. It is so difficult and I can't imagine what this must be like for you. I do know for certain, that she will always be a part of you, and lives through you all. I am so very sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Anonymous () on: Oct 04, 2013

Tracy, Lawrence and Tyson, I am so very sorry for this tragic loss in your lives. I remember asking you quite awhile ago what you did to create such a fun, happy and caring daughter, hoping to get a few pointers. Turns out Tyson is the same easy going way. You said you had no idea why they were both like that. Well I do know and you and Lawrence were 100% responsible and should be so very proud of the job you did. I will miss having Teya at our New Years parties competitively trying to win at musical chairs as well as so many other memories of her goofiness. I just wanted you to know that I am saddened by the loss of your child. It is so hard to lose a child that you have loved for many years. Their smile, their laugh, their voice will always be in your heart and not far away. Look in the sky and you will see their smile on a warm sunny day that will warm your heart. Their laugh will always be present in the wind on those windy days, you will know they are with you when the wind messes your hair. Their voice will whisper to you in your dreams to tell you that they are with you always and forever. - Posted by: Angel () on: Sep 30, 2013

Some Children are given into a specially chosen family as an honored gift from God. I can see through her photograph Teya was one such amazing child shining through the friendship, kindness and unconditional love she shared with others. I can "see" and "feel" the joy she brought to everyone she touched in words, affection, doing nice things for people, enjoying her life to the fullest which Teya did..it shows us in her smile she loved fully. An incredibly smart young lady, reflected in the way she was raised in the Ramsay family. Now she has taken her place in heaven shining as the newest brightest star in the sky. She can never be replaced as she is the one and only Teya Anne Patrice in the world. But her essence will be a legacy of loving memories which I hope in time will be shared with those whom you meet that need a little love from Teya. She will be watching with her gossamer wings in heaven over you now and smiling as she knows she had the most awesome life here on earth, and now in heaven will spread her kindness and love all over the world I truly sincerely hope in my heart that with the healing of time, love of her friends and yours, and family Teya will always be close in your mind and heart.. guiding you and watching over you. You cannot "see" or "touch" but she is there always will be .. if you look up into the night sky the brightest prettiest star you see that is like a rare precious gemstone ...is Teya My deep sympathies in the loss of your daughter and sister Tracey, Lawrence, Tyson and family. - Posted by: Lisa Sears (friend of Tracey's ) on: Sep 30, 2013

Tracey my heart aches for you and your family. I am so shocked this has happened to you and your family. Thru out the years and before her birth you spoke of having a girl to be friends with like you were with your Mom. She is such a beautiful girl (looks like dad) and I remember her on the few occasions we met. I remember how energetic she was and that she reminded me of you. I know this is such short time you had her with you you but cherish the great memories and be glad she was in your life. I cannot imagine how you cope from this tragedy but you are strong and your husband and son will pull you thru. Also know your friends and family are there to help. so please lean on us even if its to walk and say nothing or cry your eyes out. Hello, My name is Yousuf I am 14 and I am so sorry for your loss. My friend Yasmine was really close friends with Teya and Yasmine would always talk about how amazing, kind, beautiful, and talented she is. I like to think Teya is in a better place watching over all of you smiling. She will always be with you in your hearts, in every ones heart. There is a quote I am fond of that seems appropriate for this tragic time, "I will not insult you by trying to tell you that one day you will forget. I know as well as you that you will not. But, at least, in time you will not remember as fiercely as you do now - and I pray that that time may be soon." Lawrence, Tracey and Tyson We were so sorry and sad to hear the passing of your precious daughter and sister Teya. We remember your stories of your sweet children and your pictures of them growing up and especially at your cabin. Your life as you knew it has been changed forever - please know that so many are thinking of you and how this turn was so unfair. We pray that as time goes by, you will be able to think of Teya without the heartache of this tragedy. With much love and heartfelt sympathy. - Posted by: Peter and Josie Corcoran (friends and past co-workers from Cubex) on: Sep 28, 2013
