RENE JONES It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden, yet peaceful passing of Rene Jones at the age of 86 surrounded by family and friends on October 5, 2013. Rene was born in St. James, Jamaica and was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Lillian Jones, seven brothers and two sisters. She is survived by six children; Monica, Glenroy (Evadney), Stephne (Kenny), Romy (Tony), Maureen and Opal (Rupert). Grandchildren; Clement, Christopher, Cornel, Orville, Crissy, Karen, Carol, Michael, Alecia, Yanique and Kyree, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Mama (Aunt Ren, Miss Rene) was a strong loving powerhouse who had an unwavering love and commitment to her faith, family and friends. She previously attended Willow Lake Baptist Church and at the time of her passing she faithfully attended Bethel Community Church. We would like to thank the Neuro Surgery team at the Health Sciences Centre and extend a special thank you to the emergency department and staff on 6E at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Bethel Community Church, 430 Lakewood Blvd. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to service. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
