THERESE TOUGAS (GIASSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Therese Tougas at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank, MB. Therese was predeceased by her husband Josephat, son Emmanuel, son-in-law Louis and grandchildren André and Sherri. She is survived by 14 children; Jeannette, Lorraine (Carman), Alphonse, Denis (Pat), Eva, Emile (Susan), Andrew (Linda), Victor (Gail), Irene (Tim), Evelyn, John, Gilbert (Elizabeth), Caroline (Rob) and René (Sally), as well as daughter-in-law Barbara, 43 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Therese will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing starting at 1:30 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Winnipeg, MB. We wish to send a special thanks to Dr. Wiebe and all the staff at Kin Place. The care Therese received was the best. You are very special, God bless you all. Sincere condolences to all the family. I think of Therese as 'my beautiful Therese'. I'm sorry to know she's gone but she's in God's hands and in a beautiful home with a pure and deep happiness, and I hope to be with her as time will come. The angels will find her beautiful smile the way I remember her. She was a quiet lady and only said things that would please others. We all loved her for who she was. I'm so glad that I saw her again just about 2 years ago. She didn't seem to have changed and she did recognize me, which was very pleasing to me. It was with great sadness that I heard about Mom, as I refered to her for 36+ years, passing. Mom was a wonderful woman, friendly, kind and always ready to lend a hand, or advice, whenever asked. I am so glad I got to see her last year. Eve and family my heart is heavy for you all. She is now resting with the lord and her husband and son.
