HELEN ELIZABETH TENEY (AYRTON) October 30, 1916 - October 23, 2013 On October 23, 2013 at age 96, devoted wife of Douglas (Pat) Teney quietly passed away with her family at her side. Helen leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, daughter Sharon and husband Rod Chapman, and son Douglas, of Winnipeg; also grandson, Scott Hallstead of Victoria, BC who has fond memories of his grandma and grandpa especially from his earlier years at their lovely home in Niakwa Park. Helen is predeceased by parents William and Elizabeth Ayrton and two brothers, William (Alma) of Toronto and Thomas (Helga) of Winnipeg. Helen showed kindness and compassion for all including a great love of animals, especially for her dog Terry. Helen always emanated a happy positive presence with her family, with her friends, and into her home. Throughout all the years she was blessed with many fine friends and close neighbours with whom she experienced yearly travel adventures, many social engagements, and golfing with her ladies group at the Niakwa Country Club. Helen requested her life not be mourned but rather her life be remembered fondly and cherished. A private memorial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their care and special attention to our mother especially during the difficult final days.
