JOHN R. DESJARLAIS April 26, 1938 - October 27, 2013 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to mourn his wife Pearl of 57 years, and his children, Rosanne (Louis), Lorraine, Marcella, Vianna, Karen (Jim), Cynthia, Eldon (Denise), Farrell (Barb) and Heather. One brother Melvin (Sylvia) and sister- in-law Arlene. He was predeceased by his son John Jr., father Morris and mother Bella, Brothers Sam, Maurice, Leslie, Garnet, and sisters Evelyn and Darlene. Dad drove bus for the Lord Selkirk School Division for 22 years and Brokenhead Band for five years. Dad enjoyed working and spending time on his vehicles keeping them shiny and clean. He always enjoyed going to the auto wreckers with his sons and grandsons. He also enjoyed spending time in his shacks listening to fiddle and old time country music. He looked forward to having his children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, visiting and having a drink with them. In honour of his passing a wake will be held at the Private Tom Chief Memorial Hall, November 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. with funeral service on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ray Settee officiating. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Garnet, Jeff, Orton, Darryl, Gary and Donny Desjarlais.
