Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIGURSVEINN GUDMUNDSON May 10, 1920 October 29, 2013 Peacefully on October 29, 2013 at Seine River Retirement Residence, with family by his side, Svein Gudmundson passed away. He will be sadly missed by Vernon (Peggie), Valerie (Brent), Marvin (Natalie), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be loving remembered by sister Thorey Jacobson and sister-in-law Erica Weik (Willie). Svein was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Hilda on December 24, 2012. Svein was born in Arborg, MB to Siggi and Valla Gudmundson, on May 10, 1920. Dad married Hilda (Ullman) on June 16, 1951 in Arborg, MB. Dad retired in 1985 from CN Rail. Mom and dad enjoyed many summers at their cabin at Austin Lake, Ontario and winters in Yuma, Arizona. Those were their golden years! Dad has now been reunited with mom in the dance hall. Cremation and interment have taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Seine River Residence, 1015 St. Anne's Road from 1:30 3:30 p.m. Dad wished for you to join us for a cup of coffee. I knew Svein and Hilda since the middle 60s when we moved to Echo Bay across from their home. Over the years I spent considerable time visiting and having great conversation with both of them, enjoying their open hospitality and listening to Svein's opinions. He had a lot of them..I am quite sure he had something to do about Marvin planting a spruce tree in our yard!!!!!
